Considering La Tania for feb.
I am now looking at La Tania for february, the week before half term.
Feel free to chuck in your thoughts, comments, experiences of this resort.
Ideally i would have like to have stayed in C1650 but due the costs this is not going to happen.

Skied: Arinsal, La Plagne, Alpe D'huez, Flaine, Les Arcs, Morzine, Les Gets
Only had lunch there a few times..i liked the place seemed friendly and not as expensive as Courchevalle and at the end of Feb conditions should be OK as it gets slushy in march
Thats certainly my thinking. I want to try the 3V but i am not paying the prices that they want in some resorts.
La Tania looks a fairly nice place and well connected.

Good links up into the heart of 3V - Courchevel and Meribel.
Runs above the resort can be quite fun - don't ignore them. Most of the tree lined runs are here (useful in bad weather).
Do your homework in advance and you don't have to remortgage or sell Snapzzz Minor to enjoy yourself (even in 1850!).
Not quite so knowledgeable on the ins and outs of the easier runs above La Tania as rest of Courchevel for Mrs Snapzz where I could give you exact yardage on where to go and avoid.

Good memory!
Mrs Snapzzzz is my concern and La Tania offers a long green back into the village.
It also offers a nice bus (15 mins) to C1850 so i am thinking we may have the best of both worlds.
Links to Meribel seem to be less convenient though but i am not too worried because mileage is only a Mr Snapzzz requirement.

La Tania a good choice for location. We had mixed ability group and it suited us well. The location of our chalet allowed us to hoof 50m through the trees, and come out halfway down a piste ~ (the Gross Murgur?), and ski down into LT ~ and similarly return at night.
I seem to recall there was a lift you could catch down at night into the village.
AND ~ I competed and sold three paintings, which paid for my lift pass ~ Result!
Like you, I have looked for low cost 3V options, and one year ended up in Brides-les-Bain. Interesting.....

I was in Brides in March and enjojed the place.alright it is a 25minute journey up and down the bubble but it is very good value and although self catering we eat out most nights a reasonable costs..as for the skiing it does take you into the centre of the 3v and give you the choice of where to go ..in La Tania if you want to ski anywhere else you have a long ski before you get to Meribel ...worth looking at
Snapzzz - for Mrs Snapzzz ....
Gondola out of La Tania and then chair accesses some straightforward skiing as do both of the Courchevel 1350 bubbles. The left hand one (Foret I think) goes to the side of 1850 with a little dribble down to the Plattieres chair which accesses la Loze and Chenus which is criss crossed with blues.
Bus to 1850 is an option but by no means a necessity for Mrs S.
