Ski Deals for St Anton???
Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and after some help if anyone has a spare moment or two. I am arranging my first group holiday and the group (26 of us) are quite specific in what they want - St Anton, Catered sole occupancy chalet, central to town and flights at reasonable hour, over New Year 12/13. In order to try and cut the price somewhat (in an expensive resort over what I realise is peak season) I am wondering if anyone has had success in getting deals on ski hire or lift passes.
The best deal I have found is for £82.50 for skis, boots and poles for the week. Not found one for snowboards yet and nothing on lift passes.
Any tips would be gratefully received.
Jen

Hi jcrpage, and welcome to J2Ski
Have you booked your group holiday yet? Some of the TO's offer deals on lift passes and/or ski hire.

Hi Jen. I don't know but I notice Skiset offers group rates for 20+ people hiring gear. Click on the link on the left of this page to go to their website. Alternatively, you might find contact details on the internet for a hire shop in St Anton and ring them direct to see if they'll do a deal.
Thanks folks for the welcome and the advice
I have booked the trip and the ski hire deal I have is offered by the TO but they also said it was worth looking around. I'll check out the link and might have a go at making some calls.
I was advised to try the tourist office for lift passes so I will see what I can do there. Can't help but feel that when you are travelling at peak times there are less deals to be found but I shall persevere!

Thats very cheap for St Anton re hire of equipment, I'd take it if I were you. Normally its about £100 just for skis for a week.
They dont discount the lift pass in this region. However there are certain weeks the tour ops will do 2 for 1 for example but not if you've already booked.
Have a great trip, its a fantastic area, but take my advice and spend more time round at Stuben, Zurs and Lech as St Anton gets ridiculously crowded even out of peak times.

Hey Tony, thanks for the advice. The TO has been great tbh and I trust him but it's nice to get reassurance that it's a good deal. Shame about the lift passes, suspect that I will not be getting 241 over New Year.
We're staying in Chalet Murr and fully expect to have a totally amazing time. It's my first time skiing at St Anton so getting pretty excited

The lift company offers group discounts in summer (a group of 20 gets 1 ticket free) so it might be worth contacting them about ski passes
