Hey guys I'm working on a project with a team right now that is related to snow sports and I was wondering if I could get some feedback/opinions from users on here? Anything would be really useful and would help our project.
Here is a brief outline of the product:
"Our concept is a way of keeping in contact with your phone when it is in your jacket pocket while you are doing snow sports mainly. We plan to achieve this by having a device on your wrist that is connected via Bluetooth to your mobile phone along with a device around your head so the user can hear what is being said to them and respond to anything. Having these two devices connected to the user's phone wirelessly will remove the need for wires and removes the tangle of the said wires as well. Having your phone connected to the wrist device means you can access your phones abilities through the touch sensitive screen primarily the phone call functions as that will be the main part of the use of the user's phone while they are doing active sports"
So would you guys use this? Do you think it would improve your snow sports experience?
Thanks
Craig.

Agreed.
A decent bluetooth headset will let you answer calls, dial and skip music tracks. What more could you possibly need?
You can buy gloves that let you still operate a touch screen ;)

Personally, no.
But I am not a techie person and mobile phones on holiday are only useful for keeping in touch so only ever use if absolutely necessary.
It might be a great idea, but I could never seeing it improving my snow sports experience!
Good luck however.

I ski with an iphone. I have the earphones in my ears and the phone on auto answer. I dont want to be contacted when I am away, but I run my own business so it is essential I dont miss any opportunities.
I think thats all I need to be honest. I can see how some people who can't possibly be separated from their mobiles might find this useful though, and the technology would be interesting to see how it operates.

don't most Bluetooth earpieces do this already? and most screens these days need direct touch with your finger (no gloves) so I cant see what advantage your device would have..
