Heavy snow overnight and tomorrow; East and Northern/Central Alps in the firing line with snow down to around 1,300m, maybe lower.

...and a load more to come this week... we sent out 5,000 Powder Alarms this morning!

...and the longer range forecasts keep it going...

Check the wigglies for Geneva...

Fantastic! We had a decent snow fall on Sunday too, so with this new top-up April should be great.

Didn't an old lady in Nendaz say the season was over?

Was amazed at the people writing the season off.
April sking still rules in my opinion.

Know it can be risky, but worst week we ever had was in February.

Well, we had a dry period and it was unusually warm all winter. Cherry blossoms have already fallen and it's only beginning of April, it was less green at this time last year, so spring is definitely here. Despite epic snowfall in December/January many sunny slopes now don't look very different from the same time last year - non-stop sunshine does lot of damage to snow and does it fairly quickly. Many slopes have slid some weeks ago, and will remain such till next season. I would never bet on April skiing being great - this happens and one can always hope. But last year Easter week you couldn't even ski down to the lift, you had to take your skis off and walk down the last slope that turned grassy and muddy to go back up. I ski December-April, but if I was to choose it would be February over April just to be on a safe side.

Yes, last year was pants wasn't it.
It's a good thing we don't all converge the same week!

You are lucky to be able to go when the snow is good, rather than have to plan ages in advance.
Ah well, kids growing up. We used to go twice a season. One short break Jan/Feb. Week at Easter .
Feb half term is too much a bun fight for me. Just too many people about.
