Skiing in Encamp

Hi.
Im planning a trip to Andorra. Does anyone know if it is possible to ski directly to Encamp?
I know I'll have to take the gondol to the top but is it possible to ski down to the city? On thr pistmap it looks like that there is a blue trail down.

I did a trip to Soldeu a couple of years ago, and I am pretty sure I cannot remember being able to ski down to Encamp.

I have just dug out the piste map, and I wonder if the blue trail you are talking about is actually, what seems to me, to be sector boundaries on the map. Does your map show it going down under the funicamp gondola? Then it breaks at the bottom and starts again into the town.

I am pretty sure when we drove down through Encamp that there was no skiing there. The gondola actually comes in and crosses the main road and the station is the wrong side to the mountain.

Edit. Changed my mind. I am pretty sure now that they are streams or rivers, not sector boundaries. The blue is much thicker that the actual blue pistes on the map.

The blue trails under and above Funicamp have no names!

Hi there,
I was skiing in Grandvalira 2 weeks ago. Encamp is not a bad place to stay but I do not think you are able to ski down to town. I think there are no slopes.
I was skiing in Canillo that is the town above Encamp. From Portella to El Forn by Rosignol slope the snow was very good.
I stayed at El Tarter which has good connections to all slopes.Best snow is Grau Roig
If shopping is within your plans then Encamp is a short drive to Andorra La Vella but I recommend staying at El Tarter or Soldeu if skiing is the most important thing of you holidays.
