early skiing/snowboarding

i'm coming to italy on a little business trip with a few friends the beginning to middle of november. i was wondering where/if any places would be good to go to? i myself am looking for anything from beginner to expert level slopes. I'll be visiting the north eastern side of italy so prefferably somewhere not to, to far from trieste if possible, but any ideas or advice at all would greatly appreciated!!!!
