Doherty is a genius. It is more than a shame to waste the talent however.

Pete Doherty is very talented, the libertines were the best band to form since oasis and babyshambles are excellent.
In terms of music, I fail to understand how anyone can call pete doherty a waste of space. There is no other band around at the moment that I would rather see than babyshambles who i have seen on numerous occasions and who are exceptional.

Musically gifted in terms of song writing - yes, if you like listening to his take on life of course.
As a person, hes a prize dick. He is a mess, and he probably thinks its cool. I read somewhere that he wanted to die before 30 as he it make him more memorable. What a pratt. Now, I like my music, but I wouldnt go near one of his gigs, especially with his track record of not turning up or being out of his head.
Theres some good stuff coming through these days which deserves a good listen. I particularly like Cajun Dance Party's album right now, and Tokyo Police Club have a proper album out at last, which is not to be avoided.
I have the Libertines first 2 albums - the first is by far the best, and is as good a debut as I can remember since Oasis or The Roses before them, but I am afraid Doherty has been on self destruct since. He may just get his wish if he carries on.
Oh, and according to information I have, Solden is not as good as Ischgl, but you need to be a decent skier in Ischgl, and be prepared for lots of rowdiness. I am told that Samnaum over the Swiss border is the place to stay if you want to ski Ischgl.

Cajun Dance Party, Tony, not Club. )
On thread, I hve heard that Solden too is a bit on the rowdy side (although not as bad as it was a few years back) and the mid to upper slopes can be very windy, cold and exposed. However, the season there is long and pretty snow sure, so taking the rough with the smooth...
