Best skiing conditions for years! - presenting - Pamporovo!

Pamporovo is a ski resort, located in the south part of Bulgaria.
It's close to the Greek border and from Plovdiv international airport it's just 100km.
This year we had about 200cm of fresh snow, meaning the skiing and boarding conditions are better than perfect.
The infrastructure in the area cannot be considered as the best, mainly because of the lorries going from and to Greece. In case you are with a car, better buy snow chains and drive very carefully.
The area can offer quietness and picturesque nature. Many places to visit if you're into the tourist site of travelling as well.
The nearby town - Smolian is famous with its nine churches. There are many caves and natural springs around.
Prices?
- daily lift pass (at desk): 25Eur
- 6 day lift pass (special package, not available on site): 125Eur
- accommodation in out-of-resort 4 star hotel: 65Eur/night for 2ppl suite
- hire of ski equipment: 10Eur/day
Remember - Bulgaria is the best (and cheapest) place to learn to ski!
If you plan on coming, please contact me and I will do my best to make your stay as pleasant as you cannot even imagine.

Oh, just forgot...
This season in Pamporovo will be held tour of the European skiing cup, so if you have any doubts just have in mind that the best skiers in Europe wouldn't go anywhere...

I'm more of a lurker here than a poster. Have skiied in Scotland, Italy, Andorra AND Pamporovo.
Can honestly say my best holiday was in Pamps, friendly people good local food and skiing for my (limited) ability. Granted the last time I was there the snow was disappointing to say the least, but the holiday was great.
I've noticed Tony_H doesn't like Pamps, and chooses to say so at every given opportunity, fair enough, his opinion, seems like a bit of a misery to me )

Each to his own. Nothing miserable about having an opinion, lurker )
I prefer to make informed decisions about where to go for a ski holiday, and Bulgaria is bottom of the list, just behind Andorra and Scotland. Mind you there are a few places in other countries I wouldnt want to spend a holiday at. Like I say, informed decisions. One does the research and chooses somewhere that is going to be a winner in terms of terrain, extent and conditions. Nothing is guaranteed but you can at least cut down the risk factor.
Keep enjoying Pamps my friend.
I'm off to be miserable in deep snow in France now
Ahh I understand now. You are one of those people who don't want others to enjoy 'your' sport.

I think you might be right. You have them on a lot of posts...
