Why not try Sestriere. Plenty of intermediate skiing locally & linkage to a very large area as you get more adventurous. Plenty of bars for apres ski!

How about a resort in the Dolomites? Loads of intermediate crusing on the Sella Ronda.

Pila is great I've taught there for many years it has about 70km worth of piste and if you stay in Aosta itself rather than Pila or not you can reach other resorts by bus pretty easily. Depends where you've been before and if you're bothered about covering the same runs.

Cervinia is to me the definition of Italian intermediate skiing with long and wide cruisy pistes.

If you've not tried Italy you'll love it if your looking for something more low key, the food and skiing are great and the apres very low key generally compared to Austria.

Pila is a very small area, not one for intermediate skiers if you like to get about in a week.

I've been to Sauze and loved the skiing there, mainly tree lined cruisy quiet slopes, some more aggressive reds over at Sestriere, plenty for a weeks skiing, and linked to other resorts too.

Cervinia is worth a shout too, big area linked with Zermatt and high altitude.

Dolomites may be prefect: I always look at Selva and Arabba.

Alternatively, Serre Chevalier is just over the border in France and has become my favourite resort; lovely ski area with 250km, good snow record, some bars around the bases in most areas (Villeneuve and Monetier by far the prettiest) and a shortish transfer from Turin or Grenoble.

Yes .....
It's not in Italy
Start another thread to ask about Valmorel - I've never skied there but passed through in the summer.
It's got a reputation as a decent resort, very family firendly, quite compact, no cars, reliable skiing.

You'll probably love the Dolomites (1200km on your lift pass), great intermediate cruising and stunning scenery. The apres-ski is fun and the food is fantastic!
I'm on my way back over there now
