A nice quiet little place set right between La Clusaz and the Le Grand Bornand so you have easy access to both ends of the Aravis, a very small ski area I think about 5k of piste but a regular bus service runs between LGb and LClz.
I suppose it is the quiet option, I would not really consider it for a base as I do prefer these days to be a lot nearer the skiing. But maybe if I was buying a bolt hole in the area I certainly would consider it.

Here's the piste map for those who are interested, there are two areas in manigod ski area with ski accomodation Staion de la Croix fry and Col de Merdassier.

Mine didn't go and get his A level results yesterday but still went out on the p*** with mates last night !!

Good luck to him on the job front...London seems to be the place to get on...if you can afford the accommodation and the transport..(try gumtree for flat shares)... my kids have never looked back
