Nassfeld in Carinthia which has snuck in to a few UK tour operator brochures following heavy investment by the resort claims a number of unlikely 'best in Europe' titles.
Along with offering the fastest language courses in the continent in Carinthian German during a cable car ascent complete with certificate awards at the top, Nassfeld says its ski servicing in among the fastest and definitely the cheapest in the Alps.
"Skis need to be properly prepared and serviced for the start into the new skiing season and our serving staff provides an easy and quick service directly by the piste." A resort spokesperson told j2ski.
The resort provides edge grinding and tuning as well as hot waxing at the ski-service centre at the upper terminal of the Millennium-Express and it's completely free of charge until Christmas.
Even after December 25th the service is highly affordable at only 7 Euros for the rest of the season.
"It is still the lowest price in the entire Alps," says Nassfeld's spokesperson. "The time it takes to service your skis is not bad either: your skis are made fit for the piste in just five to ten minutes – for better grip, optimal safety and maximum skiing pleasure."
