I am looking for a Ski resort that is chaep has lots of varied runs good Apres Ski and lots and lots of snow!!

I did Bulgaria last year and got bored even after driving fom Bansko to Borovets.

we are looking for 3/4 nights and are willing to stop in Youth Hostels like we did last year in Les Duex Alpes, only thing is we don't want to be to fare from the slopes.

Looking at going the first week of February.

Any accommodation tips welcomed.

Thank you for any help given.

Matt

Switch your departure dates to low season. It will help.

You can stay at a lower cost in ski area base towns such as Bourg St Maurice (for Les Arcs and Paradiski) Catch the funicular up to Arc 1600 (7 mins AFAIR)

It's not too realistic to expect to be close to slopes and be in dirt cheap digs. It's been thought about, and there is money to be made )

ive just booked a week in Tignes jan 28th £580 for 5 bed apartment at the bottom of the funicular. 4 of us staying there so £145 each for the week isnt bad. but that is accom only lift pass and fuel costs still to come :/

Check out the French half term dates and get in the week before they start, you'll save money on accommodation.
If you're driving over, take as many people as you can with you to share the cost - you can take up to 9 people in one vehicle for the same price on a ferry crossing.
Check out any lift pass offers online - family tickets for instance can be cheaper, and there's sometimes discounts on other things thrown in. It might also be cheaper to get the ski pass and channel crossing included in a package with a tour operator.
Finally, small things like planning your shopping carefully i.e. keep resort shopping to a minimum and visit a large supermarket in the nearest large town. You'll also get the cheapest fuel there for the journey home.
Good luck and happy hunting!
