Hi all,
Having found this facility in Zermatt that would be great for our kids, is there accomodation actually in Sunnegga Paradise within walking distance of the beginner's park or do you have to get on the furnicular? (Going literally any distance with small kids in sub-zero temperatures is a huge palaver)

Cheers.

There are plenty of places to stay in Zermatt. Sunnegga Paradise is a ski area quite high up on the mountain (2200 m or so), so there won't be any accommodation there, you will have to live in the village at the bottom. But you can research hotels close to sunnegga/rothorn lift station.

There is no accommodation at Sunnegga itself, however there are chalets and apartments to rent just below it in Findeln. These probably won't be of much use as it's a 15-20 min walk up to the Wolli Park.
There is another children's area directly behind the Hotel Riffelberg http://www.riffelberg.ch/en/hotel-riffelberg/ in the Gonergrat sector, bear in mind that it is at 2600m and not everyone sleeps well at that altitude.

Thanks all, Riffleberg is full as is almost everything in Zermatt so I might try Cervinia instead.
Wrong forum now though :)
