Snow Mails On/Off
Weekly Snow Report - Thursday 13 October
The week ahead
Following some respectable snow last weekend, winter has opted to tease us further - most of the Alpine region has seen clear skies and settled weather over the past few days. Although mild temperatures have returned to the Western Alps it has remained cool to the East.
Temperatures look set to remain around the seasonal average, and below in the East, for the next few days at least - with fairly settled conditions continuing. The forecast models have been hinting at the possibility of another cold "snap" toward the end of next week but that's by no means clear just yet. We'll watch that with interest.
Whilst we wait for the snows, it's show time in the UK.
London's most prestigious Heliski Event returns to London on the evening of the 3rd November, at the Andaz Hyatt Hotel, Liverpool Street. The event showcases Heli, Cat and Backcountry skiing. For more information see The Total Heliski Show.
The season-opening Show is now just under a week away and opens next Wednesday 19th October. If you're planning to go, you can save Five Pounds by using the code "J2SKI" when booking online here www.metrosnow.co.uk/the_show/tickets.
We'll be back next week with more news, and hopefully more snow in the forecast!

Stay Safe :- Big Snow means Big Avalanche Risk - make sure you always know and understand the local avalanche risk level before you ski or snowboard off-piste, take appropriate safety equipment and never go off-piste alone.
The Snow Reports in this e-mail are for information only. Mountain Weather Systems are notoriously chaotic and any forecast beyond 48 hours is only an indication. Snow Forecasts, Snow Depths and current local Skiing Conditions change rapidly, and you should always obtain the latest, local, information before you ski.
