Togakushi - Japanese Ski Resort (1220m to 1748m)

A sacred Shinto mountain, mentioned in Early Japanese religious poems. The long gentle runs receive few winter visitors, altthough they're very popular in the summer for hikers and other tourists. The upstairs of the base lodge is kept open and heated from 190pm to 8am for anyone arriving in the middle of the night, bring a sleeping bag.
