Mountain Creek - American Ski Resort (140m to 450m)
Year round resort with slopeside spa centre (Stay there and ski for free) and an off-season action park featuring 75 rides. Purchased by Intrawest (owners of Whistler, Tremblant, Mammoth etc) in February 1998 the company made a massive investment in new lifts and upgrading of all amenities for over a decade before being forced to sell in 2010 due to financial problems caused by the general economic downturn. The ski area has 100% night skiing and 100% snowmaking cover.

There are two Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Mountain Creek are perfectly feasible. Charlotte Douglas Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
