Mount Snow - American Ski Resort - 48km of Piste (580m to 1100m)

One of Eastern USA's largest resorts and Vermont's closest big mountain to the major metropolitan areas ( 2.5 hours from Boston, 4 hours from New York City or 1.5 hours from Albany ). The resort took over operation of Carinthia ski area in '86 and Haystack in '91 and was taken over itself by the American Skiing Company in 1996. The resort hosted the 2000 and 2001 ESPN Winter X Games.

Mount Snow

The American ski resort of Mount Snow has direct access to 48km of downhill skiing, with 145 individual pistes, served by 23 ski lifts.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.

Snowmaking :- Mount Snow is able to augment natural snow, with 1500 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 23 Ski Lifts of Mount Snow are able to uplift 36,252 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are two Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Mount Snow are perfectly feasible.

Building upon the success of the East's first snowboard park, Un Blanco Gulch, with over 25 different freestyle elements, Mount Snow in Vermont, USA has added The Gut, a 120 metre (400 foot) halfpipe groomed by Mount Snow's Pipe Dragon, and the first halfpipe in Vermont illuminated for night boarding. It also has its own lift. Mount Snow also has enhanced snowmaking facilities covering 85% of the resort. For the serious 'boarder, Mount Snow has a dedicated team of instructors, the Ride On Pro staff who offer guaranteed learn to ride schemes. Mount Snow will also host a number of snowboarding events through the season including a leg of the American Pro Snowboard Series National Championships.
