Eaglecrest is the second largest ski area in Alaska and resort can only be reached by air or sea, there is no road. It is located on Douglas Island in Tongass National Forest. Two trails are floodlit for night skiing on Fridays only.

The American ski resort of Eaglecrest has direct access to 31 individual pistes, served by 3 ski lifts.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.
