Skiing in Cranmore
Cranmore today has thirty-nine different trails, ranging from classic cruisers or easy glades to winding trails. It is especially popular with families and has a reputation for being sheltered when extreme winter weather occasionally hits the region - staying open when other centres are forced to close completely.
Runs of note include Skimiester, a nice windy blue trail which gets steeper towards the end; at which point you have the option to switch on to easier Bandit to Lower Arlberg, or keep going on Bandit and cut over to Lower Hurricane.
Tougher runs include Ledges (pretty steep), Middle (a black diamond but not terribly steep),
Night skiing is available on Saturday nights and during peak holiday periods on eleven trails.
Snowboarding in Cranmore
The Darkside Terrain Park, served by two lifts, offers 17 acres of chaotic fun. Alternatively for the less experienced park user, the Other Side Park and Mini Pipe are great for those just getting started.
There's also a Snowskate Park located on Zip's Trail.
Darkside is open for night boarding along with eleven trails and events are staged throughout the season including camps and competitions - check out the special Dark Side section on the resort's website for the latest.
Cranmore Aprés Ski
Cranmore's slopeside lodging means there is some resort activity after the slopes close for daylight operation, with night skiing and tubing also helping to keep the centre lively after dark. In recent seasons the resort has made a particular effort to keep a party mood going on key nights with clown, jugglers, fireworks and more.
The Beer & Brat is a popular and often lively après spot, or you can travel out to the bright lights of North Conway for its extensive range of bars and eateries.
