A family ski area located in western New York's snow belt and only 30 KM ( 18 miles ) from Lake Erie. Its base elevation is 300 metres ( 1000 feet ) higher than the lake. Cockaigne receives an average 700 CM ( 275 inches ) of snowfall annually which combined with 100 M ( 300 feet ) wide slopes ands narrow New England style trails means abundant snow time for all skiers.
