Skiing in La Parva
La Parva - Ski Resort in Chilean Andes (2700m to 3650m)
Built by Europeans, commercialised by Americans, and run by locals since 1989, includes Chile's first quad chair lift. It's the most northerly of the areas near to Santiago and the base for most of the great and the good (and the rich) of Santiago who have second homes here, leaving it very quiet in the week. This was once Chile's highest resort.

The Chilean ski resort of La Parva has direct access to 21 individual pistes, served by 14 ski lifts.
The ski resort itself is above 1500m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.
