Whitewater, Canada (1640m to 2040m)

Whitewater Ski Area was discovered in the late 1960's when two businessmen, Tex Mowatt and John Stanger, were joy riding on their motorcycles and came across a natural ski bowl. In 1969 the two men got together with the Silver King Ski Club and initiated the development of the Whitewater Basin. Today Whitewater is a large ski area spanning two mountains and served by three double chairs recognised for its open bowls, gladed chutes and tree skiing . Full on-site facilities include eateries, bar and rental and retail shop. Annual snowfall can exceed 1000 cm. 20 minute drive to all accommodations.

Nestled in one of the most beautiful valleys in British Columbia, Whitewater Ski Resort combines small-town charm with epic terrain and unbeatable fresh powder, year after year. On average, Whitewater receives 10 metres of snow each season. That is nearly 40 feet! With our base elevation at 5400 feet, or 1640 meters above sea level, we are able to consistently provide fabulous conditions throughout the season.

Whitewater is simply a fantastic place for every type and level of skier or boarder. We offer everything from smooth, groomed cruising runs to powder-filled steep-treed forests to wide open bowls. Our Snow School is made up of qualified, experienced instructors and we offer a wide range of programs and clinics to suit every level.

We have a fully serviced, cozy day lodge that offers all you will need to compliment your day on the mountain. Our famous Fresh Tracks Café offers a fantastic array of healthy, eclectic and reasonably priced meals prepared fresh right in front of you.
